Co-founder, Program Director, Architecte des Opérations
Lauren Duffy Beswick
Lauren found her way into the special-education community after nearly a decade of working in corporate communications and related fields, spending the majority of that decade as a New York City-based communications consultant for clients in the financial- and professional-services industries. Though an invaluable experience, Lauren nevertheless felt drawn to the field of education after being introduced to it through the work of her sister, ArtisticallyAbled’s co-founder Megan Duffy Cassella.
After gaining perspective and experience in running an ABA practice by working with the administration of Garden Academy, a local not-for-profit school for children with autism, Lauren co-founded and served as managing partner and business director of Spectrum ABA Services, an agency that provided in-home and at-school ABA therapy and consultation services. At Spectrum, she led the practice’s business-development efforts and oversaw all of the organization’s business and administrative operations.
At ArtisticallyAbled, Lauren works with her partners to help develop and teach program content, and she assumes the additional role of leading the organization’s business operations and community-/media-outreach efforts. She is ecstatic to be working directly with an amazing group of students (and is grateful for the opportunity to dust off her artistic chops).
Lauren has a BA in American Studies from Rutgers College. She also has a certificate in arts-and-crafts, bestowed upon her by the three boys who keep Lauren and her husband busy with a plethora of art projects at home.
